cutest thing happened yesterday - my mom teaches kindergardeners - and she was correcting their hmwk, when she asked me - how do you spell brian? and i was like with an "i" or a "y" - but she was like this kid spelled it wrong - and i thot it was just her not recognizing the "y" version - but then i looked over and the silly 4-year-old spelled it w/o an "i" or a "y" - BRAN - he became cereal! funny how that's so cute for a 4-year-old but would be stupid for a 40 year-old

work was cool today - interviewed T-Bone. For those who have watched Fighting Temptations, he was in it :0) he was like, u type fast, but can u type this fast - and he like turned into micromachine man and like rapped faster than busta rhymes - cool huh :) i wish i could rap fast - i just end up sounding like a silly children's book. :op

feeling a lil better - had strep throat and scarlet fever - and no scarlet fever did not die out in the 20's b/c i had it. it's common among little kids up to age 15. everywhere on the internet has info about kids having it, but none about peops in their 20's. hmmmm....strange. not only do i get mistaken for a kid by bouncers but bacteria does it too!

anyways, so i'm better, so i went to see brian mcknight tonite - he was sooooo good - better than the other r&B bros out there - better than usher, ginuwine and justin. his voice made u just scream - it was like butah.

o u know what i found on my interview tape with him the other day? the soundtrack of his life is none other than kermit the frog's rainbow connection. HE SANG A LINE FROM IT FOR ME!!! i think i'll put that as my message on my cellie :)

still feeling sucky, but ate two bon bons :) life is getting a lil sweeter :)

DAY 2 & 3 of cold: fever and redness - now i know what a cooked tomato feels like

but a funky thing that colds do is give really hallucinegic dreams and thoughts. dang, i'm drugged up.

anyways, besides being run over by a car and reliving the horrors of high school, i thought up a quiz like 5824's - only weirder cuz of my current disposition.

SOOOOOO: what would happen if 50 Cent watched NBC's Coupling and visited Ripley's Believe It or Not, and then wrote his song "21 questions" - would Vivica A. Fox still want him?

- Would you still love me if ....
- parts of my face fell off in chunks?
- as I walked parts of my body fell off?
- i could tear off part of my chest to show off electronic innards like T3?
- i had a mole with a big hair in the middle of my forehead?
- my face puffed up and i looked like elephant man?
- one butt cheek was bigger than the other?
- i was raised by wolves?
- stuffed animals were my only friends?

hmmm - for all those would one
a. kiss the booboo
b. state principle differences and scuffle away quietly?
c. RUN as fast as your legs can muster!

- mostly a's - you've got yourself the "one"
- mostly b's - look again
- mostly c's - commitment issues eh?

my family's horrible cold finally got to me = i feel like a big monster = no, not the cute cuddly kind, but a psycho big webbly ugly monster with bad breath decided to eat me, then throw me up. so according to Danny's life-o-meter, i'm at 20 percent :(

My mom's cold lasted a week...i sure hope this goes away soon!

took today off - whew - that felt great. it was like one of those wonderful summer days where I wake up at 12 and just eat - and watch cartoons in jammies.

then i had dinner with junior high friends - my home girls - close friends and meat, life is complete :)

been balancing life a lil better these days - i thot life is defined by how far your career goes - then i burned myself out and started hating concerts - how can somebody hate concerts? i mean, i goof off for work. so i am spending more time with friends...and goofing off instead with them.

funny thing at sunday school - one of my kids asked what grade i was in - he said 13? heehee, my goal - to be eternally carded - heeheehee

waited four hours for brian mcknight to call - heehee, but now i can say brian stood me up! he called the next day - apologized for being two minutes late - i don't think he even knew i waited for four hours.

anyways, he was really cute on the phone - he said he was the opposite of what his songs are like - if he was like how his songs are, he would be like the narrator and want to kill himself - when i asked what advice would he give the rest of us using his songs to romance people, he said, - use condoms? then, when i asked what kind of woman he is looking for he said - a chinese girl who can cook - too bad i can't cook eh?

went to a concert last nite - a rock, country concert , some parts were really good - like they made you wanna jig around, other parts, i felt like my brain was melting and it was only better if i imagined there were muppets running around in the background.

Took hip hop dance last nite - think I have two left feet - My goal: to join my friendz crew, the chickpeas :) and be like into breakdancing and spin on my head - but, seriously I said I would get a black belt in judo, and I freaked out when I saw the guys in the local judo - they could break me in half!

i put on a new section: funny quotes collected over past interviews. if there is anything u want me to ask anyone, no matter how silly, email me. talking to brian mcknight tomorrow :)

Today I got a huge banana with legs printed in the paper :), centerpiece of arts and entertainment. The banana is bigger than my hand! I think that's a record. I've been trying to do silly records. Like, I got hoochie mama printed in the LA Times and balls printed a few times in the Merc -heeheehee.

then got home and played Soul Caliber - actually beat my bro with cheapy moves (my bro is a videogame reviewer and it drives him crazy that one can win with cheapy moves)

besides that, am attempting to cut down on juice and soda in another bad attempt to watch my weight. it's hard. i like food too much.

yesterday helped with Sunday school and asked the kids how one becomes cool now, in an attempt to teach them about peer pressure - they came up with - eating bugs, spiky hair, baggy clothes, having a dog - everything a hobo has, i concluded.

The latest challenge I've been handed is to write for the church newsletter on the Christian take on music downloading. Now, having been a downloader myself and Berkeley raised hater of instituations, this was a hard question. But I came up with these points:
- This may be the same as getting extra change for something you paid for at the store and not going back to return it.
- Others may argue that the Gospel takes priority over how you heard the gospel – like if someone found God through downloaded music, then what? Or if someone found God after they stole a Bible, then what? Wouldn’t that be the beginnings of a shaky foundation? Like a plant that takes root in garbage versus fertile ground?
- Or would this all be on the same level as a an ex-spouse who makes a killing off the divorce, taking everything; or even a partner in a relationship who expects everything but gives nothing back?
- This defies two commandment: thou shall not steal, and the greatest one love: How are we showing love by avenging record companies, showing friends we have no respect for institutions or witnessing through a wrongdoing?
if you have further ideas, please email me, b/c I spent the nite raking my poor html knowledge and have not figured out how to do a comment page.

Just discovered this - thx to DJ Messy :)

To intoduce myself - I write about music, have a severe hat fetish, and have the personality of an anime character - you know when they flip from the serious mode to go all crazy and kiddy-like? um, that's me.

Recently the coolest thing about my job was I ran away to the circus and became a clown :OP (clik on articles link) I was really scared cuz the only clowns I know are Krusty and Ronald McDonald and they're weird and scary and the clowns were all happy to see me to join their Borgness. Except I couldn't say Borg in my story because my editor doesn't know what a borg is and when I tried to explain, his face got all blank and I sounded like an uber geek. Anyways, it all happened when I decided to be good and go to a news meeting at work, my first like meeting with the big boys. Then, when the topic of how to cover the circus coming into town came up, they all looked at me. And so I ran away and wrote about being a clown. I was their clown gimp - being in the middle while juggling and then holding a stick of styrofoam in my mouth while a cowboy whipped it out. But it was all worth it - at the very end, this little girl went up to me and exclaimed - YOU WERE GREAT! and gave me a high five. Made me kinda like being a clown, even if it is a lil scary :o)

Anyways, today I went to an awesome animation festival today and met Don Hertzfeldt -he's the underground hero of animation, yet he drove up from socal by himself and took bart and walked to the theatre - he went to my high school - go MSJ!!! now i hafta look him up in my yearbook. his cartoon is the best - one stick figure walks in with a big spoon and exclaims, MY SPOON IS TOO BIG, then a banana walks out and says, I'M A BANANA!

besides that - am thinking about creating my own clothing label and boutique - label would be called chinkyface - heehee :) to cause controversy eh? besides that i'm going back into hip hop dance an wanna get back into judo.
