today i went to an sr independent home to do some reporting - i always wonder in amazement at how open people are to reporters - they talk about such things as dating as a kid, to their past loves and current hates. i don't think i cud open up so easily.
then went to a party that was a part of my home church - i ran into a former sunday school teacher - he was like my fav and best one - cuz of his life stories - he used to run with the wrong crowd - then became a cop - and jailed his old buddies - imagine standing across from an old friend - with jail bars in between, just b/c you chose the wrong path - this teacher is now a pastor - i really look up to him, b/c he's not the preachy type - he lives it.
he asked me to talk to his high schoolers about youth and media - on a sunday morning - huge challenge, hope i'm up to it :op
